Hubby and I are obsessed with all things Irish… In case you hadn’t noticed! We decided we wanted to throw a semi-annual St Patrick’s Day Party, and we started this year.
We scheduled it for the Sunday before, and had an open house from 12 noon to 10 PM.
I made corned beef and cabbage turnovers, mini shepherd’s pie, a Guinness and cheddar dip, a veggie plate like the Irish flag similar to this, a Shamrock lime sherbet punch, Guinness and Bailey’s cupcakes, and some Lucky Leprechaun Treats. It sounds like a lot, but it was actually pretty simple, most of it could be made ahead of time and all were fairly simple. Of course it helped that Nana and Papa watched Jem the day before so Hubby and I could clean and cook! Also Hubby came up with an amazing drink list and was a fantastic bartender all night!
We had some coloring pages and a bean bag tossing tic-tac-toe game for the kids (and the adults as the night got later and alcohol was flowing).
