So, I was doing a little bit of research on why this particular day is so important… It turns out, it isn’t actually when the Declaration of Independence was signed. It was signed almost a month later. This is only the day on which the Declaration was approved.
Not that it matters really, just an interesting fact I found out!
Anyway, celebrate today! Eat some barbecue and apple pie. Watch the fireworks until the big finale. Light some fireworks of your own (legal, please, don’t get me in trouble)! Hug a soldier or veteran who fought to keep this country in the freedom that every human deserves. Let’s not argue today about petty differences or opinions. Let’s enjoy being American!
I know I will!
